Stellite round bars
Overview of Stellite round bars
**1. Material Properties**
– Stellite round bars, specifically Stellite 6B (UNS R30016) alloy, are a high-performance cobalt-based alloy known for their excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, and high temperatures.
– The alloy is mainly composed of elements such as cobalt, chromium, tungsten, etc., in which the content of cobalt dominates, and a small amount of carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements are added to improve the performance.
– Its hardness is as high as 37-45HRC, with good toughness and thermal stability, suitable for working under extreme conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and high speed.
**2. Applications**
– Chemical industry: used in the manufacture of wear plates, wear rods, steam chemical valve seats and other components, which can withstand harsh conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and strong corrosion.
– Steam turbine field: used in the manufacture of blade guards and other components to effectively prevent the wear and corrosion of blades.
– It is also widely used in food processing, needle valves, hot extrusion dies and other fields.
**3. Preparation Process**
– Preparation of high-quality base metals or ingots, e.g. by vacuum smelting or electroslag remelting.
– The base metal or ingot is machined into the desired shape and size by processes such as casting or forging.
– Strict control of various process parameters to ensure the stable performance and high reliability of the manufactured Stellite round bars.
### Advantages of Stellite round bars
– Abrasion resistance: Excellent abrasion resistance under various working conditions to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment.
– Corrosion Resistance: Able to maintain stable performance in highly corrosive environments and extend the service life of equipment.
– High Temperature Resistance: It can maintain excellent performance in high temperature environments and is suitable for high temperature working conditions.
– **Tough**: Able to withstand large impact and vibration to ensure the safety of the equipment under harsh working conditions.
