According to the different metal elements contained in aluminum coils, aluminum coils can be divided into 9 categories. That is, it can be divided into 9 series.
（1）1000 series aluminum plate:
Aluminum plate is also called pure aluminum plate. In all series, the 1000 series belongs to the series with the most aluminum content. The purity can reach above 99.00%. Because it does not contain other technical elements, the production process is relatively simple and the price is relatively cheap. It is the most commonly used series in the conventional industry. Most of the circulation in the market is the 1050 and 1060 series. The 1000 series aluminum plates are based on the last two Arabic numerals to determine the minimum aluminum content of the series. For example, the last two digits of the 1050 series are 50. According to the international brand nomenclature, the aluminum content must reach 99.5% above the qualified product. China’s aluminum alloy technical standards (gB/T3880-2006) also clearly stipulates that the aluminum content of 1050 reaches 99.5%. （2）2000 series aluminum plate:
Representative 2A16 (LY16) 2A06 (LY6) 2000 series aluminum plate is characterized by high hardness, which has the highest copper content, about 3-5%. The 2000 series of aluminum sheets are aerospace aluminum and are not commonly used in conventional industries. There are fewer manufacturers producing 2000 series aluminum sheets in China. The quality cannot be compared with foreign countries. Imported aluminum sheets are mainly supplied by Korean and German manufacturers. With the development of China’s aerospace industry, the 2000 series of aluminum sheet production technology will be further improved.
（3）3000 series aluminum plate:
Representing 3003 3003 3A21. It can also be called rust-proof aluminum plate. China 3000 series aluminum plate production process is relatively excellent. The 3000 series aluminum plate is mainly composed of manganese. The content is between 1.0 and 1.5. It is a series with better anti-rust function. Conventional applications in the humid environment of air conditioners, refrigerators, car bottoms, etc., the price is higher than 1000 series, is a more common alloy series.
（4）4000 series aluminum plate
The aluminum plate, represented by the 4A01 4000 series, is a series with a high silicon content. Usually the silicon content is between 4.5 and 6.0%. It is a building material, mechanical parts, forging materials, welding materials; low melting point, good corrosion resistance. Product Description: It has heat resistance and wear resistance.
Represents the 5052.5005.5083.5A05 series. The 5000 series aluminum plate belongs to the more commonly used alloy aluminum plate series. The main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. Also known as aluminum-magnesium alloy. The main features are low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. The weight of aluminum-magnesium alloy is lower than other series under the same area. Therefore, it is commonly used in aviation, such as aircraft fuel tanks. It is also widely used in conventional industries. The processing technology is continuous casting and rolling, which belongs to the hot-rolled aluminum plate series and can be used for oxidation deep processing. In China, the 5000 series aluminum plate is one of the more mature aluminum plate series.
The representative 6061 contains mainly magnesium and silicon. Therefore, the advantages of 4000 series and 5000 series are concentrated. 6061 is a cold-processed aluminum forged product suitable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. Good usability, excellent interface characteristics, easy coating and good processability. Can be used on low pressure weapons and aircraft joints.
The representative 7075 mainly contains zinc. Also belonging to the aviation series, it is aluminum-magnesium-zinc-copper alloy, which is a heat-treatable alloy. It belongs to super-hard aluminum alloy and has good wear resistance. The 7075 aluminum plate is stress-relieved and will not be deformed or warped after processing. All super-super The thick 7075 aluminum plate is ultrasonically detected to ensure no blisters and impurities. The 7075 aluminum plate has high thermal conductivity, which can shorten the molding time and improve work efficiency. Therefore, some manufacturers recommend the use of diamond tools when the silicon content exceeds 8%.
Aluminum alloys with a silicon content between 8% and 12% are a transition zone, either ordinary carbide or diamond cutters. However, the use of cemented carbide should use a PVD (physical coating) method, without aluminum, a tool with a small film thickness. Because the PVD method and small film thickness make it possible for the tool to maintain a sharper cutting edge (otherwise, in order to avoid abnormal growth of the film at the cutting edge, it is necessary to passivate the cutting edge sufficiently, the cutting aluminum alloy will not be sharp enough) The aluminum material of the film material may cause the blade film layer to interact with the workpiece material to break the bond between the film layer and the tool substrate.
