Definition of brass casting process:
The method is to cast brass liquid metal into the casting cavity which is suitable for the shape of the parts.
Common casting methods include sand casting and precision casting. Detailed classification methods are shown in the table below.
- Sand casting process:
- Sand mold casting – a casting method for producing brass castings in sand mold. Steel, iron and most non – ferrous alloy castings can be obtained by sand casting. As the moulding materials used in sand mold casting are cheap and easy to get, and the brass casting manufacturing is simple, it can be adapted to single part production, batch production and mass production of castings. For a long time, it has been the basic technology in casting production.Sand casting process includes ordinary sand molding and high pressure molding.2. Precision brass casting process:
Precision casting is the general term for precise brass casting process obtained by precise molding method. Its products are precise, complex, close to the final shape of the parts, and can be used without processing or few processing.Precision brass casting process includes Pressure casting,Investment casting, expendable pattern casting;Ceramic casting;metal casting.
