The Titanium Ball is a premium high-performance wear component engineered for extreme service conditions in mining, mineral processing, and crushing equipment. Manufactured from high-grade titanium alloy (TC4/Ti-6Al-4V), this product delivers an exceptional combination of high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and outstanding durability that significantly outperforms conventional steel-based wear parts.
Titanium alloys are increasingly recognized as the material of choice for demanding industrial applications. With a density only 57% that of steel yet comparable strength, titanium balls offer substantial weight reduction without compromising mechanical performance. TC4 titanium alloy exhibits a Brinell hardness of approximately 334 HB and a tensile strength of up to 1170 MPa, providing superior resistance to abrasive wear and impact damage.
In metallurgical and mining applications, titanium alloy components demonstrate excellent wear and erosion resistance when subjected to high-velocity solid particle impact from ores, slag, and abrasive dust. TC4 alloy, in particular, offers wear resistance far superior to that of ordinary stainless steel. The material also exhibits outstanding corrosion resistance against strong acids including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid, as well as acidic slurries and chloride-containing solutions commonly encountered in mining operations.
The titanium ball maintains stable performance across a wide temperature range from -253°C to 500°C, ensuring reliable operation in both cryogenic and high-temperature environments. This thermal stability, combined with exceptional corrosion resistance, makes titanium balls ideal for use in hydrometallurgical processes, acidic slurry handling systems, and high-temperature crushing applications where conventional materials rapidly degrade.
