Use these guides to frame material questions before issuing an RFQ. They explain why product form, standard, chemistry, heat treatment, microstructure, section and service conditions must be reviewed together. They are educational resources, not material approvals or universal property guarantees.

  3. Record unresolved technical questions and purchaser/OEM decisions.
  4. Put the agreed grade, process, test and acceptance requirements into the RFQ or drawing.
  5. Ask suppliers to separate confirmed scope from proposed alternatives.
