Industry names help organize a website, but they do not define a casting. A furnace fixture, chute liner, mill component, cylinder sleeve or pump part must be reviewed against its drawing, equipment interface, duty and inspection plan. Heat Treatment and Industrial Furnaces

Fixtures, baskets, trays, base grids, radiant tubes and furnace rollers can experience load, thermal cycling, oxidation, carburization, distortion and local section effects. The RFQ should identify metal temperature rather than only furnace set point, atmosphere, cycle, dwell time, supported load, contact points, allowable distortion and replacement interface. Material choice and fixture design remain linked: increasing alloy content cannot correct an unreviewed load path or restraint condition.

Mining and Mineral Processing

Mill, chute, crusher, feeder and slurry-handling components may be governed by different balances of impact, sliding abrasion, gouging, particle size, moisture, corrosion and support. “Mining duty” is therefore not a material specification. A useful inquiry includes handled material, particle distribution, drop height or velocity, flow direction, impact zones, service hours, wear map, failure photographs, mounting details and planned shutdown window.

Cement and Aggregates

Cement and aggregate equipment can combine abrasive feed, impact at transfer points, dust, elevated temperature, fastening loads and limited shutdown access. The component description should identify the exact equipment position and interface—such as mill lining, chute/transfer protection, crusher wear part or fastening system—rather than relying on the plant name. Final lining arrangement, bolt preload, joint orientation and installation method remain the responsibility of the approved equipment documentation.

Infrastructure and General Industry

This section preserves access to established product families that generate real search demand but do not belong in the mining/furnace navigation. It includes drawing-defined manhole covers, cylinder liners, pump/valve components, slag pots and other industrial castings. Each inquiry requires its own governing standard, load or pressure boundary, dimensions, machining, inspection and purchaser approval.

Industry RFQ checklist

  1. Latest approved drawing, revision and equipment/mating-part information.
  2. Component location, function, load path and installation orientation.
  3. Normal and upset operating conditions, including wear, impact, temperature and corrosion.
  4. Required grade/standard or controlled process for reviewing alternatives.
  5. Machining, fastening, joining, repair and dimensional requirements.
  6. Inspection plan, certificates, traceability, quantity, destination and required-on-site date.
